Hello there readers!

For this post I am featuring the very beautiful and talented Azel Han! I first came across her blog http://selfxdestruct.blogspot.sg when my friend showed it to me a few months back and I have been hooked ever since. I saw this hilarious photo of her when i was reading her blog recently (yes that's her boyfriend sorry guys) and I decided I HAD to feature her on my blog! I'm sure all of you guys will love reading Azel Han too!

How did you get involved with blogging?

It was really in trend to have a blog back in Secondary school and i had another blog then, completely filled with pictures and nothing substantial at all. It was really to document things about my days and to see what people would comment on my tagboard.

I stopped blogging when I started getting loads of spams and hate mail, there were anonymous users calling me names everyday and cursing my family so it really got to me and I stopped posting anything online. I had a private blog where I started writing more about things that really hit me and things I thought more about, nothing about my personal life, no pictures, nothing about my everyday life. But, I've always loved writing, I guess that's one of the main reasons I blog nowadays.

My friends were really encouraging in supporting my writings and here I am, blogging once again. It's quite a nice feeling to read back on my archives and remember the good and the bad times I've been through.

What hobbies do you have besides blogging?

Well, I am a full time student so basically all I do is study everyday. I joined cheerleading this year and I love it very much. I spend a lot of time at home and with my boyfriend, I love going for brunch and buying overpriced tea. I love indie music and rock and roll and attending concerts. In fact I just went for Sigur Ros and it was such a beautiful night.

Why do you think people read your blog?

To be honest, I blog for my friends and I've always thought only people close to me read my blog. But, with your email I was really flattered. Well, I love to write and I guess people can relate to these feelings I always have. The self destruction and the things we face these days, I always feel better when I write, and I hope anyone who reads it feels the same.

I have realised the trend for successful bloggers is that they are attractive girls such as yourself but do you think male bloggers stand a chance to be successful too?

Thanks I am flattered, well I think successful bloggers are "famous" because everyone likes seeing pretty girls in pictures and their lives always seem more interesting. But, I read many blogs that are written by guys who write so so well. Of course male bloggers can be successful, as long as someone writes in a unique and interesting way, or has high quality pictures or something particularly unique about themselves, personally I;d love his blog already. Also, there are so many fashion blogs that are written by males.

Ok! Time to spread the love! Who is in your list of top three bloggers who you look up to and why?

#1 Xiaxue
No surprise there, I am an absolute huge fan of Wendy she is particularly interesting and unique, she is so truthful and I love bloggers that dare to bare, and dare to say something out of the ordinary. I love everything she posts no matter how bitchy she gets but yes, she is such a wonderful person.

#2 Chevonne Cheng

Well Chevonne is another blogger I respect a lot, she does all those pictures, everyone loves pretty girls with pretty pictures. Also, she writes really well and I feel bloggers who write in good English gets a vote from me already :p

#3 Herbonestructure
She is an inspiration urgh I love her but she got a little mainstream lately.

Can I add a number 4? I love the Lovebonito sisters, they are all really successful and I love reading a luxury blogger.

If someone was interested in blogging , what would be a few things you would suggest?

Stop posting #ootd pictures and don't try to be a fashion blogger all the time. I guess it gets irritating for me when bloggers keep proving a point about their lives lately and I guess if you blog for yourself, it's so much more genuine. ( so much angst here) but I love bloggers that keeps their lives simple and doesn't blog for getting famous.

Thank you so much Azel for taking the time off your busy schedule to anwser my questions!

I hope all of you enjoyed this feature as I might be doing another blogger interview soon! Be sure to check out her blog http://selfxdestruct.blogspot.sg/ if you have the time. I love her writing style and her pictures are always entertaining too.

Well anyways i hope you guys enjoyed reading this post! Until next time!!

Latest Fashion Trends In Singapore

What is  the latest fashion trend for  men in Singapore? We always think that men's wear staples consist of the standard classic items such as jeans, bermudas, t-shirt or shirt, which is commonly perceived too run-of-the-mill to be stylish. Oh well, you are wrong! Let me help you to make over your whole look to catch up with the latest trend in Singapore based on these staple items.

First up, your hair. Which hair cut should you adopt?

The talk of the town for trendy men in Singapore is the undercut! The back and sides of the head are kept crop short with some gel or clay to comb back the fringe completes the undercut hairstyle. This vintage haircut synonymous with the jazz age has staged a comeback to become a trendsetter for the Singaporean men.

Let's look at how this haircut looks on some Singaporean guys!

Next up would be the clothes. Most Singaporean guys are too lazy to dress up! T-shirt, bermuda and slippers are what the common Singaporean guy will wear to the street. The common saying, 'there is no ugly women, there is only lazy women', applies to men too. To catch the eye of the opposite sex must warrant an overhaul of a typical Singaporean guy's wardrobe.

To spice things up on these classic staple items for Singaporean guys, we can focus on the details of which Shoulder and elbow patches are the flavour of the town!

What can we do to our bermudas and jeans to create a new look to fit in with the most trendy in town?

Simply fold up the edge of your pants, jeans and bermudas!

Finally to complete the look, the voguish Singaporean man must not overlook his footwear! No more sloppy  sneakers or slippers. The stylish Singaporean dandy cannot do without Oxfords shoes: classy and with a pointed front

Heeding the above fashion tips, the complete re-vamped look of a trendy Singaporean guy will look something like below.

My friends, Luke and Jay were featured on http://poshism.com/ for their stylish and trendy looks, incorporating all the fashion tips covered above.

Now that you know what constitute  the latest trends for male fashion in Singapore, IT'S TIME  TO UPDATE YOUR WARDROBE AND LOOK!

The Real Life with Ril Lee and ROCKU Yakiniku!

Hola friends! Ril Lee here. Basically I started this blog as a way to share with all of you my experiences in life. Well maybe sometimes it may include random musings. :/

Anyway, let's get started, recently a friend I visited the rechristened "Illuma", now known as Bugis +, and we stumbled upon a really cool restaurant called "ROCKU Yakiniku" on the 4th floor. For those who are unaware, yakiniku refers to grilled meat in Japanese. So ROCKU Yakiniku is a Japanese charcoal grill joint, whereby your food is served raw and you cook it over a charcoal grill, which is present at every table.

Here's a video of a fellow diner cooking his food there! CLICK THIS!

So the place had a pretty ballin' interior. (Retrieved from the ROCKU Yakiniku Facebook page)

Well the interior is a very dimly lit place, really chill, and the bare brick walls were adorned with graffiti giving it a very urban industrial feel. And while I am not too big a fan of Korean pop, I was able to "somewhat" enjoy the music there! Alas I'll give the atmosphere a 4/5.

Well let's get on to food. The place has various assortments of beef, pork, chicken and other meats. Some examples include their Wagyu Beef Brisket, their US Ribeye for beef, and their pork loin and shoulder for the pork. However the assortment is much wider, and I believe they have a menu up on their Facebook page which I'll link to you later!

Unfortunately, my friend and I did not pop by on the weekend and therefore we were not eligible for their weekend buffet deal :( however, we did have a good meal. We shared a pork combo which includes the loin, shoulder, belly and jowl and some vegetables. It even came with 2 awesome bowls of fried rice and miso soup! Well the food was fantastic, and the portions were generous, goodness me, we were stuffed! I'll give the food a 4/5

Here you go! A picture of the wonderful pork combo. #damnson

For drinks we treated ourselves to a jug of Asahi (which is draft by the way!). It was $23 dollars reasonably priced. But fear not! For those of you who don't really enjoy beer or alcoholic beverages, the place does offer a range of non-alcoholic drinks.

The service staff there were really friendly and helpful, and their manager was especially nice. For me that sometimes can be the game-changer for restaurants or bars. Good service and friendliness can easily override mediocre food or drinks. However in this situation both the food and service was good! :D I'd rate the service a 5/5.

Overall, it's a pretty awesome chill place, great for having a meal with a friend just enjoying the atmosphere. My friend, Jimmy, and I will definitely attest to that. We had a great time, great food, great drinks and an experience with great service staff. Overall, the place deserves a good 4.5/5 stars.

It's an awesome joint, and I'd recommend it to anyone just looking for a really cool place to have your om noms. Check out the Facebook page here!

Well anyway guys, I hope you had a good read and I was able to convince you to check out ROCKU Yaikiniku! Regardless, I'll be looking forward to the next time I establish cyber contact with all of you. Have a good week ahead guys!
